The Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, Inc. was created through the joint efforts of the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers, the Gate City Bar Association, and the Atlanta Legal Aid Society in 1979 to offer lawyers an opportunity to provide civil legal representation for the poor.
