Christine "Christy" Stearns
AssociateMs. Stearns has been guiding clients through the legal and emotional complexities of divorce, custody, and family restructuring since 2008. She understands that a case’s direction and outcome often hinge on subtle details, nuanced and timely communication, and decisive action—qualities that have been honed through experience and a time-tested resolve.
While tough on the opposition when necessary, Ms. Stearns offers her clients genuine empathy, honesty, and consistent availability as she helps them navigate some of life’s most difficult transitions.
With extensive experience in intricate custodial and financial matters, Ms. Stearns has successfully managed all facets of family law practice, including many cases with international components.
Ms. Stearns is committed to service within the legal community. In Georgia, she has volunteered for the Georgia Legal Services Program, served as a Legislative Liaison Committee Member for the Georgia Family Law Section, participated as a panelist for the Atlanta Bar Family Law Section’s “Case Law Update,” and served as a guest speaker for the Georgia Child Support Commission. In California, she was a homeless shelter arbitrator for the San Francisco Human Services Agency and a volunteer for the San Francisco Bar’s Justice and Diversity Center Family Law Project (formerly known as the Volunteer Legal Services Program).
A San Francisco Bay Area native who now calls Georgia home, Ms. Stearns lives in Atlanta with her husband, daughter, their dog Riley, and their cockatiel Oliver. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and working out.
