Biography

Burton Miller grew in Athens, Georgia and attended Furman University majoring in History and Political Science and minoring in Latin American studies. Following undergraduate, Burton attended Georgia State University College of Law, graduating and passing the bar in 2019. During law school, he interned for Judge Ural Glanville in the Family Division of the Fulton County Superior Court and with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, actively assisting victims of domestic abuse obtain protection orders. He also served as President of the Family Law Society.
Burton has been involved in family law his entire life, having been adopted at five months old and growing up in a divorced household. Having seen his parent’s ability to co-parent is what led him to wanting to practice family law.
Since 2020, Burton has practiced exclusively in the field of family law, focusing on domestic litigation, including divorce, contested child custody, domestic violence cases, legitimations, and contempts. Burton is also an active member of the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law Inn of Court and was also selected as a pupil for the Inn of Court during his last year of law school.
Burton resides in Grant Park and enjoys cheering for the Atlanta Braves and regularly travels to Athens during the fall for UGA football games.
