Exclusive: Attorney to Buzz: ‘We still represent Tameka Raymond’

By Richard Eldredge

The Internet is all abuzz with various “reports” that Tameka Foster Raymondhas fired her high-profile Atlanta family law attorney Randall Kessler via a tweet from her Twitter account.

Faithful Buzz readers will recall that Foster Raymond hired the legal eagle who specializes in representing the wives and mothers of celebrities this month after her husband, pop star Usher Raymond filed for divorce in Fulton County.

So what’s the truth?

Buzz Central opted to go all old school and call the actual source: Kessler.

In an exclusive statement to the AJC, Kessler told us: “We are privileged to represent Ms. Raymond and we will use our best efforts to assist her in resolving this matter expeditiously and equitably.”

Kessler’s statement effectively dismisses the rampant gossip currently flying everywhere on the celebrity gossip blogosphere.

Law.com’s “Legal Blogwatch,” for example, has posted this item, claiming that Foster tweeted to her pal and former “View” co-host Star Jones (herself no stranger to tabloid fodder and high-profile divorce): “My lawyer=horrible. Need the name/number of a good one in Atlanta.”

Law.com, meanwhile, essentially got its information from a post on the celebrity gossip blog, missxpose.com which as far as we can tell, was among the first who reported the alleged tainted tweet.

So, who is Miss Xpose, exactly? A former New York Times correspondent or Wall Street Journal alum, perhaps?

Nah.

According to her online bio, Miss Xpose is a “successful paralegal turned entertainment journalist a.k.a. ‘The Skirt With The Dirt, a force to be reckoned with’ and ‘The Hottest Lady in Entertainment.’ “
