The estranged husband presented his ex with a 15-page settlement offer Bishop Thomas Weeks III is awaiting feedback on the settlement Weeks and Bynumoffer he presented to his estranged wife, the renowned televangelist Prophetess Juanita Bynum. A 15-page letter, which outlined the terms of divorce, is designed to expedite divorce negotiations. Weeks is not seeking spousal support from his wife, but he is requesting that she help him cover attorneys’ fees, according to Week’s Atlanta-based lawyer, Randy Kessler. “There are a couple of minor changes we have to make,” Kessler told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution last week. A national spotlight was turned on the troubled marriage on Aug. 21 when Weeks stomped, hit and choked his wife of five years. The man who, along with Bynum, built the huge Global Destiny Church in Duluth, Ga., was convicted of aggravated assault but was spared jail time as a first offender; he was given three years’ probation and ordered to attend anger management classes and perform 200 hours of community service, the Journal-Constitution reports. “[Weeks’] is moving forward with his life,” Kessler said. “This is a way out. Everyone keeps what they have. Once they sign this … all the judge has to do is attach a divorce decree to it.”
