Randall M. Kessler

Founding Partner

Mr. Kessler is a past Chair of the Family Law Sections of both the American Bar Association and the Georgia State Bar. But his true passion is representing individuals in family law matters and he has been doing that since he started practicing law in 1988. He founded the firm in 1991 and has built it into one of the most respected family law firms in the country based on the quality of the firm's legal work and service to its clients.

Marvin L. Solomiany

Managing Partner

Mr. Solomiany, a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a past Chair of the Atlanta Bar Family Law Section, has worked as a trial attorney exclusively in the area of family law for over 15 years. He provides representation in all areas of the firm's practice, with an emphasis on high-income divorce cases, prenuptial agreements, interstate child support and custody matters, and those involving corporate entities. Mr. Solomiany has represented athletes, entertainers, professionals and executives from Fortune 500 Companies throughout his career and is a frequent lecturer in both state and national family law seminars.

Karine P. Burney


Ms. Burney received her J.D. from Loyola University-Chicago School of Law in 2005. Since 2006, Ms. Burney has exclusively practiced in the area of family law handling complex divorce cases, child custody issues, support and alimony claims, modification actions, prenuptial agreements, and all other domestic relations matters. Ms. Burney is certified as a Collaborative Law attorney and was an instructor in the Kennesaw State University Paralegal Certificate Program from 2007 through 2012. Ms. Burney has been recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyers, Rising Star. She is a Barrister in the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law Inn of Court, and the Co-Founder and Editor of The Cobb Family Law Quarterly, the Official Publication of the Cobb County Family Law Section.

Sean M. Ditzel


Mr. Ditzel, a recipient of Super Lawyer�s Rising Star designation, has worked as exclusively in the area of family law since his graduation from The University of Georgia School of Law. His practice includes all areas of family law including divorce, legitimation, paternity, adoption, modification and contempt actions. Mr. Ditzel has handled many high-income and high-profile clients throughout his career, and is an active member and leader in several local and state-wide bar associations.

Lindsay B. Dodson


Ms. Dodson is an associate with the firm and is a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia. Ms. Dodson has a broad range of experience representing and advisingclients in contentious and complex litigation related to divorce, alimony, child custody and support, separate maintenance, post-decree modification and enforcement, family violence , paternity and legitimation. Ms. Dodson has worked exclusively in the area of family law for over 6 years. Prior to joining the firm of Kessler & Solomiany in 2011, Ms. Dodson practiced family lawwith the firm of Weinstock & Scavo, P.C. Ms. Dodson received her J.D., with Honors, from Emory University, where shegraduated in the top 10% of her class and was inducted into the Order of the Coif and the Order of Barristers. Ms. Dodson was also the 2005 Emory University School of Law recipient of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for Distinguished Achievement in the Art and Science of Advocacy.

Steven Kirson


AV rated by Martindale Hubbell. Practice family law in the major metro-Atlanta counties and also throughout Georgia. Extensive mediation experience, collaborative process experience. Represent individuals from initial consult and retainer through settlement or trial in divorces ranging from uncontested to complex/involving high net worth. Significant portion of practice includes alimony, child support, support or custody modification, contempt and related matters as well as QDRO preparation in addition to divorces. Prepare Prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and litigate re: enforceability of such agreements. Utilize financial services industry experience to guide client financial advice and case strategy..

Wayne Morrison

Mr. Morrison grew up in Manassas Virginia. Before relocating to Georgia to attend law school and practice law he worked as Financial Analyst preparing, analyzing, and auditing financial statements. Mr. Morrison is experienced in handling complex divorce cases, child custody matters, support and alimony claims, modification and contempt actions, prenuptial agreements, and all other domestic relations issues. Prior to joining Kessler & Solomiany, Mr. Morrison was a founding partner at Hedgepeth, Heredia, Crumrine & Morrison and was a partner at Davis, Matthews & Quigley.

Louis J. Tesser


Mr. Tesser is a partner in the firm and a seasoned trial attorney of over fifteen years. He has been a general litigator, a prosecutor, and for the past nine years, has focused strictly on matrimonial law. Mr. Tesser is Vice Chair of the DeKalb Family Law Bar Association, and a Member at Large of the Atlanta Bar Association Family Division Executive Committee. He has spoken and taught frequently on topics in family law to diverse audiences, covering such matters as arbitration, paternity, divorce, and attorney�s fees. He is a certified mediator and arbitrator. Mr. Tesser is married to Lilia Tesser and lives with her and their daughters. Mr. Tesser enjoys tennis, travel, and is a private pilot.

Thad F. Woody


Mr. Woody has extensive experience representing clients in matters relating to divorce, child support, custody, legitimation and paternity. He has successfully represented a variety of clients including notable entertainers, athletes and high-profile executives. Mr. Woody is trained as a Guardian ad Litem and has performed substantial pro bono services on behalf of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. He has also contributed to several seminar programs sponsored by the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia. Mr. Woody received his bachelor of arts and juris doctor degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
